Incident Research & Investigation Section

The Incident Research & Investigation Section exists to provide valuable assistance to both internal and external partners in order to reduce demand and make our communities safer. We do this in various ways; through investigating the origin, cause and development of fire and reporting the results to the appropriate agencies; through promotion of our corporate road safety programme throughout our Service area; through incident research and data collation which is then used to inform community safety initiatives and strategies; and through our partnership approach to reducing deliberate fire setting and ant-social behaviour.

The Section is therefore split into 4 areas, which are Fire Investigation, Road Safety, Incident Research and Deliberate Fire Setting Reduction.
