home Community Safety Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Safety Centres

The Safety Centres are purpose built experiential learning centres tackling dangers associated with fire. The centres are located in Pollok and Paisley.

The facilities consists of a meeting rooms consisting of an IT suite, a darkened room / fire simulation room and a hazard bedsit.

The fire safety programme delivered at these facilities cover the common causes of fire and a workshop on FIRE ACTION PLANS (what to do if a fire starts in your home).

Schools and organisations can then select one of the following modules to complete the programme.

  • Hoax Calls / Deliberately Starting Fires / Abuse of Fire Detection Systems.
  • The Danger Associated with Fireworks.
  • Vandalism to Fire Crews / Fire Appliances / Fire Hydrants.
