Thank you for our crews
Ayrshire Hospice say thanks to our firefighters
Following the large fire in Rcecourse Road in Ayr last night, we
received a letter of thanks tofay from Valerie Richmond, The
Support Services Director at Ayrshire Hospice. She wrote:
The Ayrshire Hospice would like to thank Strathclyde
Fire & Rescue and Strathclyde Police for their advice and
assistance yesterday evening (25th July 2012) when
fighting the large fire in the building opposite the hospice on
Racecourse Road. The Ayrshire Hospice takes the health and
safety of staff and patients extremely seriously and following
on-going consultation with Strathclyde Fire & Rescue, no
patients needed to be evacuated. Fire crews assisted visitors
and staff due to leave the hospice, to do so safely. Core
staff levels were maintained on the ward throughout the incident to
ensure patient safety.
