ALLY BOYLE

Having previously worked for a haulage company and thereafter ScotRail in the Fire Safety section, Ally joined Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service in 1993.

In 1996 he transferred on promotion to SFR and having served as an Operation LFf, Sub O and Stn O on 9 different watches across Central Command (and short spells in staff, the BA section and a year as a temporary ADO) Ally was promoted to ADO in East Command in 2002.

Since then Ally has worked in several Commands and Areas and is now the Area Manager, Deputy Director for Community Safety working at Hamilton HQ.

Ally was a volunteer working for the SFR Family Support Trust for a number of years prior to being asked to assist with the FSNBF in 2003. Ally is the Treasurer for SFR and also a Company Member of the FSNBF and a member of the Scottish Group Council.

Joe made Ally an offer he couldn’t (and wouldn’t) refuse earlier this year and this has resulted in Ally taking up responsibilities as the Secretary for the REA. Ally is very proud to be involved with the REA and delighted to be able to support the very people that have done so much for society over the years.
