JOE TINNEY

Joe Tinney is one of the two Graphic Designers employed by SFR at Headquarters in Hamilton. Together with colleague Karen Blass, he is responsible for for all areas of visual communication which will enhance the profile of the organisation, improve the standard of internal training, and relate important information to members of the public.

Joe also works on the design and layout of material for the REA, including “Off The Run” magazine, and the REA website.

Joe joined SFB as a trainee in the Graphics Section at HQ in February 1994. A year later he was offered a full-time position, so he must have done something right during that time!

He has worked for SFB/SFR since then, using his free time to concentrate on his other hobbies of music and travel, which have taken him to Japan, the USA, Germany, Ireland and Sweden. He actually liked the latter country so much that he took a career break in 2003/04 and moved over to live in Stockholm for a year, even getting married in the process, before returning home to Scotland with his wife.

When not working for SFR, Joe can often be found playing with his band in and around Glasgow.
