Breathing Apparatus Wearers Training Course

Incorporating rescue and casualty care techniques.

Objectives
By the end of the course, students will understand the following principles:

  • Basic physiology and respiration relevant to Breathing Apparatus.
  • Operating principles of Breathing Apparatus and ancillary equipment.
  • Correct safety and wearing procedures.
  • Practical wearing sessions.
  • Entry techniques and rescue.
  • Standard protective clothing worn in conjunction with Breathing Apparatus.
  • Servicing, testing and maintenance of Breathing Apparatus.

Duration: Five days.

Location: SFR Training Centre, Glasgow.
