Hazardous Materials & Chemical Emergency Response Training Course

Designed for certified Breathing Apparatus wearers in both industrial and commercial orgaisations required to deal with such emergencies.

Objectives
By the end of the course, students will understand the following principles:

  • On-site hazard identification and safe working practices.
  • Liaison with other parties eg. site chemist or safety officer.
  • Liaison with local authority fire & rescue service.
  • Chemical identification and appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Personal protective clothing and practical wearing (gas and/or chemical suits).
  • Decontamination and containment procedures.

Duration: Two days.

Location: SFR Training Centre, Glasgow.
