Working Safely IOSH Accreditation Course

Aim
The aim of the course is to clarify health and safety responsibilities and ensure they are clearly understood by everyone at work.

Designed for
Everyone exposed to risk. (Supervisors and managers should refer to Managing Safely).

Certification
IOSH award (Institute of Occupational Safety & Health).

Objectives
By the end of the course, students will understand the following principles:

  • Identify the hazards and evaluate risks in the workplace.
  • Use appropriate precautions for specific risks and know where to seek advice.
  • Assist managers in the preparation of risk assessments.
  • Understand health and safety policy of their organisation.
  • Carry out work activities without risk to themselves and others.
  • Report relevant accidents and incidents.
  • Monitor their own activities and assist management with active monitoring.

Duration: One day.

Location: SFR Training Centre, Glasgow or other location.
