Fire Risk Assessment

As part of our vision to make our communities a safer place to live, Strathclyde Fire & Rescue is offering free home fire safety visits to everyone in the area.

Take the following Risk Assessment to see how safe your home is.

  1. How many working smoke alarms do you have?
  2. What age is the oldest member of your household?
  3. How many people are regularly home during the day?
  4. How many adults are there in the home?  
  5. How many children under the age of 16 live in the house?  
  6. How many people, if any, smoke in the house?  
  7. How many times a week do people people within the household consume alcohol?  
  8. If any, how many fires have you had in your home  
  9. Does anyone in the house have a fascination with fire?
  10. Do you use a traditional chip pan or other deep fat cooking method e.g. Wok, Karahi etc?
  11. Does anyone in the household cook late at night?
  12. Do you use candles, tea lights, candles or scented burners?
  13. Do you have an open fire in your home?
  14. Does anyone in the household have any long term health or mobility issues?
  15. Does your household have a plan of what to do in event of fire?
  16. Is everyone in the household aware of the plan?
