Fire Safety Training
If you have responsibility for non-domestic premises or houses
with multiple occupancy in Scotland covered by the fire safety laws
(Fire (Scotland) Act), you are likely to have some responsibility
for compliance to any fire safety legislation which applies to
those premises.
From October 2006, fire safety law in Scotland has changed, and
existing fire safety legislation has been replaced. Fire
certificates have been abolished, and if you have an existing fire
certificate it is no longer valid.
Premises covered by the fire safety laws may be inspected by an
enforcement officer to ensure compliance with the law. Usually the
enforcing authority will be the local Fire and Rescue Services.
Strathclyde Fire & Rescue provides courses to ensure that
business owners, employees, or anyone with fire safety
responsibilities, can meet the requirements of the new fire safety
laws in Scotland.
SFR's Training Centre is committed to the delivery of high
quality fire safety training for a discerning customer base. The
