Programmes and Initiatives

Strathclyde Fire & Rescue runs a number of programmes and initiatives aimed at inspiring young people. We encourage them to get involved in activities, experience what it means to be a firefighter, and make a difference in their communities.

Our Young Firefighters programme invites 13 to 18 year olds to meet once a week to learn core Fire and Rescue activities from an esteemed group of experienced Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Instructors.

FireReach and Junior FireReach are community programmes which positively engage with young people to provide training opportunities and encourage them to give back to the community, whilst enjoying a fantastic experience, meeting new people and learning valuable skills for life.
